The Easy-Wideleg-Trousers were created from an idea by @frau.a.w.. They are relaxed, comfortable trousers with a narrow elastic waistband and drawstring, a medium rise, and a dropped crotch. The wide, straight legs fall all the way to the floor in an extra-long length – if you prefer a shorter version, you can simply shorten the hem as needed.
Inseam pockets at the sides and a patch pocket on the right back leg give the pants a casual, everyday look. Best of all: these pants are quick and easy to sew – a great project for anyone looking to make an uncomplicated new wardrobe favourite.

Casual comfort for every season
Comfortable, stylish and wonderfully versatile – the Easy-Wideleg-Trousers HE01 are a pattern that will accompany you all year round. They were created from an idea by Annika @frau.a.w.
The modern wide legs fall all the way to the floor, but can easily be shortened to your preferred length. With their dropped crotch and relaxed fit, these pants come together as a style that feels casual, elegant, and incredibly comfortable at the same time.
The pattern is intentionally simple and quick to sew — perfect for beginners, but also ideal for anyone looking for a relaxed sewing project with strong favourite-piece potential.
In summer, sew the pants in airy linen, lightweight cotton, or flowing viscose for an effortless warm-weather look. During the colder months, soft wool fabrics, fine corduroy, or viscose-wool blends turn them into cosy yet stylish trousers for autumn and winter. This versatility is exactly what makes the Easy Wide-Leg Pants HE01 such a true wardrobe staple.
The comfortable narrow elastic waistband provides an easy fit, while practical inseam pockets and the patch back pocket complete the relaxed look. As an optional detail, you can also add a drawstring to the waistband.
The pattern is a multi-size pattern with layers.
The pattern pieces already contain all seam allowances.
The instructions are available online here. You will also find information on materials and consumption. We also explain step by step with pictures and text how to sew your easy wide-leg trousers.
