The Easy-Barrel-Leg-Trousers HE03 have a slimmer barrel-leg shape and are designed for stretch fabrics, with a relatively close fit around the seat. They were inspired by an idea from Alex (@schnittversteherin), who had already “hacked” her made-to-measure Barrel-Leg into elastic-waist trousers several times. After we released our first Easy patterns, it seemed only natural to turn her hack into a pattern of its own.

The shaped side seam gives the trousers their moderately pronounced barrel shape – without any knee or hem darts. The trousers are regular length. Flat jeans pockets with rounded openings at the front and large, square patch pockets at the back emphasise the clean lines of the design.

Depending on the fabric, the HE03 can have a very different look: stretch denim or stretch twill create a classic trouser look, while ponte roma or heavy sweatshirt fabric make them more sporty and relaxed. The attached elastic waistband provides the easy comfort of our Easy collection. You can optionally add a faux fly, a drawstring or both.

The pattern is a layered multi-size pattern.

All seam allowances are already included in the pattern pieces.
