Description

Customizable wide leg jeans made to measure

Do you like wide-leg jeans? Here you have the opportunity to design your own individual sewing pattern according to your measurements and ideas. You can choose between different fits, pocket variants, waist heights, lengths, etc.

The pattern pieces already contain all seam allowances. The finished seam lines are marked in the pattern pieces. This way you can easily see how wide the seam allowances and hem turn-ins are intended to be.

In the instructions supplied, you will find links to the corresponding sewing instructions for the individual steps. We make these available to you online in image/text and video form. If you like, you can take a look at the instructions here.

The instructions also contain layout plans for cutting and information on materials and consumption.

We usually need 0.5-10 hours to generate your individual sewing pattern. We will then send you your pattern e-book by e-mail.

This contains the following files:

  1. A4 PDF pattern file
  2. A0 PDF pattern file (the pattern is in A0 format in width, but can be longer – depending on how much space is required for the pattern pieces).
  3. PDF instructions for the sewing pattern

You will receive the sewing pattern in two formats and can decide for yourself whether you want to print out the A4 file at home, glue it together and get started straight away. If you don’t feel like gluing, you can give the A0 file to a copy store or online print shop and have a large pattern sheet made for you. Please note the additional printing and shipping costs of the respective provider.

You can open the PDF files with the free Adobe Reader.

Be sure to select your options in the configurator in order, i.e., from left to right or from top to bottom. The display may vary depending on the device. If you go back, check the settings you have already made again.

You will find a general explanation for each option. In addition, there are individual options to choose from that contain individual descriptions.

Finally, you can enter your body measurements or select a clothing size.

How to take your measurements is explained during the measurement process. However, you can also take a look at our measurement instructions here. It is important that you take your measurements very carefully, as the correct measurements are the basis for the right fit.

Overview of the different variants

You can also find the following descriptions directly in the configurator. Here is an overview:

For wide-leg jeans, you first select the fit. You determine the width of your pants in the next step by selecting the leg shape.

The “slim 10” fit is designed exclusively for fabrics that can be stretched by approx. 10% and fits snugly around the buttocks.

The regular fit has an additional width of approx. 3 cm at the buttocks and approx. 6 cm at the thighs. It is designed for non-stretch fabrics.

The casual fit is also for non-stretch fabrics, has a loose cut, and has an extra width of approx. 6 cm at the seat and at least 9 cm at the thighs.

For the extra relaxed fit, we have added an extra width of approx. 9 cm at the seat and at least 12 cm at the thighs.

In the next step, you can choose from four different leg shapes.

The tapered shape is approx. 8 cm narrower at the hem than at the thigh.

The hem and thigh measurements are approximately the same for the straight leg shape.

The slightly flared shape is about 6 cm wider at the hem than at the thigh, and the extra wide flared shape is 12 cm wider.

There are four different designs to choose from for the side seam. You can choose between a normal side seam, a small or flared strip insert, or a wedge insert.

For the trousers length, you can choose between regular, 7/8, and culotte length.

The choice of waistband height is only a preselection for the made-to-measure patterns. You determine the actual height of the waistband when you enter your measurements. For example, if you choose the low waistband height here, but enter the measurement for the “side length to the top of the waistband” so high that it corresponds to a medium waistband height, you will get the medium waistband height.

For the crotch depth, you can choose between normal, deep, and extra deep. With the normal shape, the crotch seam is quite close to the body, depending on the fit. The deep crotch shape is deepened by about 3 cm, the extra deepby about 6 cm.

You have three options when selecting the front pockets. Here you can choose the classic round pocket, an additional yoke above the round pocket, or a angular wing pocket.

The back yoke can be chosen in an O or V shape, or you can opt for darts.

For the back pockets, you can choose between round or angular patch pockets.

For the waistband, you can choose between 40 mm or 60 mm width. You also have the choice between a straight or shaped waistband. As the name suggests, the straight waistband is cut completely straight. In contrast to the front center, the shaped waistband runs slightly diagonally in the grain. This makes it very comfortable. However, this means that it is slightly longer at the attachment seam and only reaches the desired circumference at the upper waistband edge.

For the fly, you can choose between a zipper or buttons.
