Description

Description

Loose-fitting cargo barrelleg in two lengths with different pocket variations

The KEJA cargo barrelleg was created in collaboration with TAUKO magazine and are part of issue 18, which focuses on pockets.

KEJA has a loose fit. It can be sewn as long trousers or shorts. As it does not have a zip, it is also a great project for beginners.

In keeping with the cover theme, there are many different pocket options available for the front and back of the trousers and also for the side inserts. You decide whether you want to sew KEJA with few or many pockets and whether you want to use a ready-made waistband or sew it yourself and, if necessary, add a drawstring.

If you like, you can add side tabs to your long KEJA cargo barrelleg to hold up the rolled-up hems. You may also like to add an elastic cord to the hem to vary the leg width.

The Cargo Barrelleg is designed for non-stretch fabrics such as denim, twill, linen, corduroy, etc.

We find that a fabric with a little stand emphasises the loose silhouette.

The pattern is a multi-size pattern with layers.

The pattern pieces already include all seam allowances.

The instructions are available online here. You will find  information on materials and consumption and we also explain step by step with pictures and text how to sew the Cargo Barrelleg.
