Casual business trousers with a mid-rise waist and low crotch

These casual business trousers with balloon-shaped, 7/8-length legs and a dropped crotch have a mid-rise waist.

There are rounded “banana” shaped pockets at the front and patch pockets at the back. The 4 cm high waistband ensures a good fit and optimum support. The front slit is finished with a zipper.

Business trousers are generally designed for non-elastic fabrics. If you want to use a slightly elastic material, you must ensure that the waistband does not stretch out by fixing it with a suitable interlining.

The design example for these business trousers was sewn for us by Lara, the owner of 1000Stoff. 1000Stoff is both a great local fabric store in Berlin-Kreuzberg and an online store with a wonderful selection of high-quality fabrics, including many designer leftovers. It’s definitely worth checking back regularly to discover new fabric treasures!

The pattern is a multi-size pattern and contains the sizes 32-62. You can show and hide each size level individually.

The pattern pieces already contain all seam allowances. You can show the finished seam lines in the files so that you can easily see how wide the seam allowances and hem allowances are.

The instructions are available online here. You will find links to the corresponding sewing instructions for the individual steps. These are available in picture/text and video form. The instructions also contain layplans for cutting and information on materials and consumption.

2. A0 PDF pattern file with layers (the pattern is in A0 format in width, but can be longer – depending on how much space is required for the pattern pieces).

You receive the pattern in two formats and can decide for yourself whether you want to print out the A4 file at home, glue it together and get started straight away. If you don’t feel like gluing, you can give the A0-wide file to a copy store or online print shop and have a large pattern sheet made for you. Please note the additional printing and shipping costs of the respective provider.
