Rivet set<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;5465&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text]I use a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prym.com\/en\/rivets-328\">rivet set from Prym<\/a>, which contains the necessary tools.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;5466&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text]I will hammer a rivet into the left and right front pocket openings. I therefore need 2 top and 2 bottom parts. I prepare the tool by pressing the supports for the upper and lower part into the holder.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row equal_height=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2_Rivet_position\"><\/span><b>2. Rivet position<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;5467&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text]I place the position for the rivet at a distance of approx. 10 mm from the side seam in the middle of my double stitching. If you attach the rivet before the side leg seam is closed, add the width of the seam allowance to the spacing.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;5468&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text]I pin the pocket opening to the facing so that nothing slips when working in.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;5469&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text]Now pre-punch the holes for the rivets. The set includes a punching tool and a small plastic disc. However, I prefer to use my hole punch pliers.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;5470&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text]I set the smallest size of 2.5 mm diameter and place a piece of fabric under the plate so that I punch through all the layers of the trouser pocket.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row equal_height=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"3_Insert_rivets\"><\/span><b>3. Insert rivets<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;5471&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text]Now I place the upper and lower parts in the holders of my tool; I can tell which belongs where by the shape.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;5472&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text][\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;5473&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text]I want the old brass-colored underside of the rivet on the outside of my trousers &#8211; so I press this from the outside in through the punched hole.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;5474&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text][\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;5475&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text]I now press the silver-colored top against it from the inside.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;5476&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text]I hammer the rivet and then remove the tool. add_caption=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text][\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Of course, you can also add more rivets to suit your taste, e.g. on the upper edge of the front pockets and the coin pocket.<\/p>\n<p>If you also want to attach rivets to the rear pockets, remember that &#8211; depending on the shape of the rivets &#8211; they could damage or scratch furniture, other items of
